In 2019, Abu Dhabi delivered a once-in-a-lifetime milestone: the Special Olympics World Games, hosted for the first time in the MENA region. With 7,500+ athletes from 190+ countries and thousands of families, fans, and volunteers, the city came alive with emotion, pride, and global excitement, from the first arrival to the final farewell.
Vibes was trusted to support the event at its highest-profile moments, staffing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as operations throughout the Games. We deployed 1,600 team members across venues and fan zones, delivering the people-power behind a seamless experience for athletes, delegations, VIPs, and spectators, supporting registration and accreditation, athlete and delegation services, guest experience, and on-ground coordination across fast-moving schedules and packed crowds.
