In 2019, Abu Dhabi hosted the Special Olympics World Games, the first time it was held in the MENA region. The weeklong sporting event filled competition venues, fan zones, and ceremonies with thousands of athletes, families, and spectators.
Vibes deployed 1,600 team members across entry points, athlete and delegation routes, and spectator areas. Bibs were distributed, credentials verified and access managed for athletes, officials, and delegations. Registration and ticketing teams managed check-ins, on-site sales, and collections to keep arrivals moving steadily.
Ushers guided attendees to competition zones, seating areas, and event facilities. Hosts and hostesses greeted and supported VIPs and officials. Crowd control teams monitored ensured smooth flow of crowds across key touchpoints. Bringing it all together, staff supervisors coordinated teams on the ground, repositioning staff as needed. On-site managers oversaw operations end to end, working closely with organizers. The event highlighted Vibes’ capabilities in staffing large sporting events in the UAE.
