In November of 2023, COP28 turned Expo City Dubai into a two-week climate forum with heads of state, ministers, and observers moving between plenaries, thematic halls, conferences, panel discussions, talks, and presentations. From arrivals in the morning, to daytime traffic around programs, and increased crowds for evening receptions, there were multiple challenges to handle.
Vibes deployed 350 trained staff for the occasion across primary entrances, registration, halls, and VIP and media lounges. The focus was on keeping arrivals efficient and supporting delegates through their needs.
Registration teams efficiently managed the flow of attendees, handling badge distribution, while ushers coordinated wayfinding throughout the venue. Our tour guides also led scheduled pavilion circuits and ministerial walkthroughs so visits stayed on time, while stage hands reset rooms and main stages. Speaker assistants prepared rooms, managed timing, and supported speakers throughout the event. Staff supervisors repositioned staff as needed, while on-site managers controlled team performance. With COP28, Vibes demonstrated its ability to provide skilled staff for high profile events on the world stage, ensuring every detail was executed with professionalism.
